Before reaching eternal rest, the soul must go through the
different streams of the Apanohuacalula River, the nine states of consciousness.
These streams are to help the soul to be at peace
with the life it had and to elevate itself to a higher level,
becoming worthy of entering the Mictlan.
This Mexican legend concludes with the lords of death receiving
the souls and welcoming them to eternity.
Antes de llegar al descanso eterno, el alma debe atravesar por los diferentes caudales del río Apanohuacalula, los nueve estados de la consciencia.
Estas corrientes son para ayudarle al alma a estar en paz con la vida que tuvo y lograr elevarse a un nivel superior, haciéndose digno de entrar en el Mictlán.
Esta leyenda mexicana concluye con los señores de la muerte recibiendo a las ánimas y dándoles la bienvenida a la eternidad.
